Paleo Diet

What is the Paleo Diet?

The world’s healthiest diet, often known as the ‘caveman diet’.  The premise of which is that you don’t eat anything that wasn’t available in the ancient world.

The diet centres around the foods that were most readily available during the time period: fish, grass fed pasture raised meats, eggs, vegetables, fruit, fungi, roots and nuts and excludes grains, legumes, dairy products, potatoes, refined salt, refined sugar and processed oils.

The paleo diet may consist of ancient food types, but that doesn’t mean that you have to eat like cavemen!  We live in a modern age and there are many ways to cook tasty, healthy meals.

‘Cast’ Iron Age

Dating back to the 5th century BC, cast iron has been used in warfare, agriculture and architecture before making its way into our kitchen to be used as cooking tools.

Below are some fantastic paleo recipes that can be cooked in a Cast Iron Casserole.

        3oz fresh lime juice

Choosing The Best Cookware Set For The Home

The knife is right

Have you ever seen a plumber with a scalpel or a surgeon with a spanner? Thought not. Choosing the right tools for the job is vital for the job to work. Similarly choosing the right cookware products for your kitchen needs will make the difference between a smooth running kitchen and a chaotic one. ProCook have a range of cookware sets to suit your needs for the kitchen no matter what they are.

Your needs, your choice

A singleton will have different kitchen needs to a family of four, just as a busy mum will have different needs to a student. ProCook's range of cookware sets match your particular needs and ensure that you have more of what you need and none of what you don't.

Students

Simplicity is the key for the student kitchen. The Casserole Dish, griddle, roasting pan etc are superfluous to a student's needs. ProCook understands this and has simple sets which cover the basics and are ideal for the student kitchen.

Mums

Time is key for a busy mum with too few eyes and arms. However, the aim is not always to whip up a quick meal on the go. That's why ProCook has cookware sets that suit busy mums. Saucepans with lids and casserole dishes mean that pots can stay on the stove while a well deserved cup of tea is enjoyed. ProCook's ranges of oven and casserole dishes are ideal for creating meals the whole family can share.

Singles

The single kitchen needs the speed of a student kitchen but with more flare. Experimentation is the keyword and a wok is a must. In addition to basic cookware sets ProCook also has ranges of griddles, poachers and paella pans for when a frying pan just won't do.

Choosing the right Cookware Set for your kitchen is an easy process with ProCook. Each item of cookware is designed and manufactured exclusively for ProCook meaning that the quality is guaranteed. No matter the kitchen size, shape or your individual needs ProCook has the right range of kitchenware for you.
